Hollybrook Films is developing a TV series on stay-at-home dads. We are looking for Dads who are about to stop work/ take redundancy in the near future or who have lost their job recently and have decided to become the main stay-at-home parent for the short term at least. Gael Choláiste wins prize at National Student Enterprise Awards Final - 05/05/2010
Second year students at Gael Choláiste Phort Láirge received the 'Best Display' award in the Junior category at National Student Enterprise Awards Final in Croke Park last week from Batt O'Keffe TD, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation and well known entrepreneur and TV personality Bill Cullen. The student's mini company 'Sláinte' designed and produced innovative and environmentally friendly wine glasses from recycled wine bottles which they sold to parents and to the public at the Student Enterprise Christmas market last December. Their delighted teacher Tarina Ní Laighin Treo said that "tá áthas an domhain orainn gur bhuamar duais i gCraobh na hÉireann. Bhaineamar sár-thaitneamh as a bheith páirteach i "Sláinte". Bhí am iontach againn i mBaile Átha Cliath. Bhí sé ar fheabhas ar fad!"

Conference highlights importance of CSR from Small Business - 06/11/2009
Speakers at a conference on Corporate Social Responsibility for Small Business agreed that organisations who practice social responsibility gain a competitive advantage over those who don't. Daniel Farina from Allsop Europe in Waterford told the conference that large companies expect their smaller suppliers to behave responsibly and will award contracts to them over those who don't perform responsibly. Carmel Kikkers, from Focus Visual Communication, who has developed an advertising stand that is unique in Europe for its environment properties, showed the conference how a small company can gain competitive advantage by being green.
