Empower is a nationwide e-business initiative which is being delivered by the City and County Enterprise Boards.

The objective of the Initiative is to support businesses adopting new technology.
This will be achieved by offering a range of supports such as mentoring, training and grant assistance.

Empower Grant aasistance is available as follows:

Domain Name Registration Grant.
Domain Name Grant assistance of up to €100 per business to register a domain name.

ISP Website Hosting Grant.
Hosting Grant assistance of up to €200 per business towards the first annual hosting contract cost.

Specialist Software Grant.
Software Grant assistance of 50% of eligible expenditure on approved software up to a maximum grant of €1,000.

E-Business Training Grant.
Training Grant assistance of 50% of eligible expenditure on approved training programmes up to a maximum grant of €1,000.

Web-Site Development Grant.
Website Development Grant assistance of 50% of eligible expenditure up to a maximum grant of €1,250. Clients are required to obtain three quotes for website development and to give reasons for their choice of provider.

Web-Site Promotion Grant.
Website Promotion Grant assistance to fund search engine promotion costs of 50% of eligible expenditure to up a maximum grant of €500.
